Storm in California: 14 dead in floods north of Los Angeles Israel today

Heavy rains and strong winds hit the west coast of the United States causing flooding and roadblocks • 25,000 people were evacuated from their homes in the city of Santa Barbara


Extreme weather hit the west coast of the United States today (Tuesday) and caused casualties, enormous damage to property and the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from their homes north of the city of Los Angeles in the state of California. 

14 people were killed in floods in the cities of Montecito and Santa Barbara, which are several tens of kilometers north of the city of Los Angeles, and more than 25 thousand people were evacuated from their homes.

Forces of the National Guard and rescue and rescue services from around the United States were deployed in the area in an attempt to help the victims.

The intense rainstorm hit the area with more than 20 inches of rain and strong winds that caused the displacement of bone and blocked roads that hampered the evacuation of the civilian population from around the town of Santa Barbara. 

Authorities in 17 different counties in California have declared a state of emergency and fear of flooding and mudslides.

The city of Montecito is home to a cultured family of the rich and famous including the home of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

In 2018, a series of mudslides took place in the area, causing the death of 20 people and extensive destruction throughout the district.
