Latakia - SANA

As part of the celebration of the Arab Theater Day, the Al-Assad House of Culture in Lattakia hosted this evening the theatrical show “Blaa Blaa Blaa Blaa” based on the text of a “propaganda play” by the Russian writer Yuri Yurin and directed by Majd Younes Ahmed.

The show deals with some of the concerns of the theater and enters into a real disclosure about what it is, the arguments it raises, and how it is presented, especially in our Arab societies in which the theater is still searching for its own identity according to the director of the work.

And Ahmed stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the show, which came as a response from the Russian writer to what was known at that time as the Variety Theater, “Clowning Theater”, by highlighting the characters who insult the theater and try to empty it of its true role as an important and advanced platform in the life of all societies.

He stressed that despite the unjust war on Syria, the stage in it is still at the forefront in the Arab world, and that the performances in Latakia governorate did not stop even at the height of the war.

Theatrical actor and one of the heroes of the work, Majd Adnan Younes, talked about his role in working with the character of the writer, “a person who is marginalized by many directors,” expressing his hope that there will be a real Arab theater that has its own saying that expresses its societies.

Theatrical actress Nour Al-Faisal, who plays the character of a theatrical actress looking for a major role to stand out through, saw that there is a significant decline in the demand for theater and a scarcity in theatrical works, despite the presence of talented theatrical cadres.

The show is represented by Majd Adnan Younis, Nour Al-Faisal, Akram Al-Sheikh, Aws Ghadir, and Haider Taha.
