The Vice President of Colombia, Francia Márquez, denounced this Tuesday through her Twitter account an alleged attempt to make an attempt on her life.
Márquez said that the security team in custody would have found "explosives" on the road that leads to his home in the city of Suárez, Cauca.

The vice president added that expert personnel from the Colombian Police were able to destroy the alleged device in a controlled manner.
Meanwhile, the police commander of the department of Cauca, José Ricardo Archila said that it was thanks to a source from the authorities that the explosive device was found and proceeded to deactivate it.
