Away from mass tourism: Top 5 undiscovered ski resorts in all of Europe

Overcrowded ski slopes, many annoying tourists and après-ski until you drop: If you like it quieter and more relaxed, you should take a closer look at the following almost unknown ski paradises.
Even if the snow is a long time coming in some regions, die-hard ski fans are already very excited about the new season.
But the well-deserved winter holiday does not necessarily have to take place at one of the well-known ski hotspots in Europe.
There are also undiscovered areas where you can jet down the slopes in a more relaxed manner.
After all, the joy is quickly gone when the chosen ski resort is completely overrun with tourists, you have to queue for ages at the lift and then have to pay a lot of money for it.
But where can I still experience slopes that are hardly used?

has analyzed over 2,715 ski areas throughout Germany and evaluated them based on their kilometers of slopes and their demand on Google.
The result: most of the undiscovered ski resorts are still in France.
Here are the top 5:
1st place: Les Portes du Soleil
The ski area on the Swiss-French border has a lot to offer with its 580 kilometers of slopes.
It may be big, but it also charms with small, charming resorts.
The ski area is suitable for both beginners and athletes, as there are different levels of difficulty as well as futuristic snow parks and even freeride areas for the very brave.

The ski area in the Italian-French border region offers skiing fun on 400 kilometers of pistes.
The demand on Google is low, but wrongly so.
Because it is suitable for skiers of all levels of difficulty due to the large number of different slopes.
In winter, several snow machines covering 60 percent of the ski area ensure optimal snow conditions, even if it doesn't happen.
3rd place: Les Sybelles
With 310 kilometers of pistes around the "local mountain" L'Ouillon, the ski area is one of the largest ski areas in France.
Above all, beginners, families and pleasure skiers will feel at home here, as there are many beautiful practice lifts and wide and sunny descents that are not particularly steep or icy.

4th place: Le Grand Massif
Le Grand Massif offers 265 kilometers of slopes for pure skiing fun and is one of the largest ski areas in the French Alps.
It connects the ski resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz d'Arâches, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval.
There is a lot to discover here for beginners to winter sports enthusiasts.
The black runs Combe de Véret as well as Onyx and Jais at the Combre de Gers are ideal for the more adventurous.
Those who prefer to enjoy the breathtaking view can do so from the Grandes Platières gondola, which leads to the mountain station.
5th place: Serre Chevalier
The Serre Chevalier is located in the high valley of the Guisane and is a huge ski area with 250 kilometers of slopes.
As a result, it offers a range of different winter sports for holidaymakers.
It's even nicer when the sun smiles at you while you're speeding down the slopes - this is often the case in Serre Chevalier.
After all, it is said to be blessed with a whopping 300 days of sunshine a year.
