A creative brother-in-law comes up with a curious idea that gets laughs on TikTok.

He designs T-Rex arms for chickens and puts them on them.

"It's good that my chickens go along with everything," writes

scribble bee

about the video she uploaded to TikTok.

The fact that she has a very creative brother-in-law is demonstrated to countless TikTok users in the clip.

And their chickens have to do it.

As it seems, however, no problem for the spring animals.

"Exactly My Humor": Chickens With T-Rex Arms Amuse The Web

The chickens shown in the video all seem happy and completely normal.

But one small detail about them is different.

They are small T-Rex arms sticking out of their plumage on the left and right.

Her "prosthetic arms" are unique creations made by the owner's brother-in-law.

Both arms are connected with a small bracket and are placed over the animals' backs like a rucksack.

"I hope you patented it," writes a user about the unusual construct.

And another: "T-Rex and chickens are related after all, so why not?"

"Exactly my humor": Idea inspired by the ancestors of the chicken

And in fact, the idea didn't just come out of thin air, but was inspired by the ancestors of the chicken.

As researchers were able to find out, the chicken is a close relative of the Tyrannosaurus rex.

And even more closely related to the extinct land predator than reptiles or any other species still alive today, reports the

Süddeutsche Zeitung

.

The scientists were only able to find out by a happy coincidence.

In 2003, palaeontologists led by Mary Higby Schweitzer of North Carolina State University discovered the 68-million-year-old remains of a T-Rex in the badlands of eastern Montana.

However, the animal's fossil thigh was too large for the transport helicopter.

So the scientists sawed through the bone and encountered a sensation: Inside there were still remnants of blood vessels that had escaped the fossilization process in an unknown way compare them to other species and find out which animals are most closely related to them today.
