This coming Shabbat we will read in the synagogue the Parashat Shemot in which the Torah tells us about the greatness of the Israelites that even though they suffered a lot from the Egyptians - they were full of patience.
The Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto explained in his lesson that this is where you learn the degree of patience and the right way to deal with troubles and difficulties.
And so Rabbi Pinto said in his lesson
:
One of the things that every Jew needs to work on himself in this generation is the degree of patience. What the mind does not do, time will do, Patience is one of the most important things in this generation, if a person does not work on patience, his life is not a life. And so we see in this week's Torah in Moshe Rabbinu "And Moses grew up and went out to his brothers and saw their patience" Our holy sages said not in their patience but in their patience, that our children were very patient In all matters of slavery that existed in the land of Egypt.
All the hard things that Pharaoh did to them, torturing them, tormenting them and making them work in the most difficult and degrading way, they behaved with patience and did not behave recklessly, they handled themselves with great patience.
And G-d saw how they accepted everything with great patience and had mercy on them.
The Gemara tells (Erubin ned:) about Rabbi Frida who had a student who was difficult to understand and would not understand what he was learning with him until he had been taught four hundred times. One day Rabbi Frida had to go to some place, began to study with him the four hundred times that one learns every day and the student did not understand. Rabbi Frida asked him what was different today, the same student said to him, the rabbi had to leave and I was afraid that the rabbi would leave and I did not concentrate on the study. Rabbi Frida said to him concentrate and I will teach you four hundred again Two times, Bat Kol came out of heaven and said to him, what would you rather have another four hundred years added to you, or that you and all your steps will gain the world to come, Rabbi Frida said that he and all his generation will gain the world to come, Bat Kol said that you and each of your steps will gain the world to come and will live forever.
You see a great foundation here, in Rabbi Frida's generation there were certainly people who behaved badly and did bad things, but with the power of patience of Rabbi Frida, all the people who were in his generation were vindicated even those who behave badly.
A person who has the power of patience has the greatest power to subdue and defeat the evil urge and anything difficult, nothing stands in the way of the power of patience.
And so the Gemara says (Erubin 13:) that Beit Shammai and Beit Hillel divided for three years, whether she went as Beit Hillel or as Beit Shemai, until finally Bat Kol came out and said these and these are the words of God, they are alive, and she went on 25. Because there were Noah and Eve. BS according to them.
They were careful not to pronounce a halachic law until they heard Beit Shamai's opinion.
A person who argues with someone - he has no patience to hear him, but Beit Hillel heard Beit Shamai's opinion before they said their opinion.
A person needs to strengthen himself in this generation with all his might with the power of patience, with the power of patience a person is victorious and can ascend and ascend to all holy things.
