Rabbi Abdani, who served as president of the Council of Torah Sages of the Sephardic public in Israel and around the world, was characterized throughout his life by the trait of perseverance.

From a young age he studied his Talmud, gave lessons, led yeshiva and strove to restore the crown of Sephardic Judaism to its glory.

His contribution to the flourishing of the Torah world in our generation is prominent and important.

"Rabb Edani did not seek fame, nor the limelight. He spread the Torah widely with great diligence and extreme humility. From his warm home in Bnei Brak, he went out every day to the 'Torah and Life' yeshiva, whose rabbis and students he devoutly nurtured. Blocking roads in Bnei Brak

In the meantime, in preparation for the funeral procession today around 1:00 p.m., unusual traffic congestion and blocking of major roads in the city of Bnei Brak are expected. 

Starting at 11:00, the following roads will be closed:

• Aharonovich will be closed from the corner of Rabbi Rains to Ezra.

• Ezra will be closed to traffic from Rabbi Kahneman to Chazon Ish.

• Nehemiah will be closed to traffic from Ezra to Chazon Ish.

• Chazon Ish will be closed to traffic from Rabbi Akiva to the cemetery including Rabbi Levin St.

• Jerusalem Ave. will be closed to traffic from Ramat Gan to Chazon Ish Bnei Brak.

At the same time, there will be traffic arrangements on the following streets: Aharonovich, Kahaneman, and Givat Shmuel and along Rabbi Akiva.

Also, traffic will be directed on the roads leading to Chazon Ish and Rabbi Akiva in accordance with the traffic regulations.

The Israel Police stated: "We ask the general public who is not participating in the funeral, not to come to the area of ​​the city of Bnei Brak and the roads leading to it until the end of the funeral."
