A mystery near Jerusalem:
the remains of 11 bodies were discovered in the suburbs of Jerusalem, announced the spokesman of the Palestinian police, Louis Erzikat.
The police and the General Prosecutor's Office have opened an investigation.
A senior member of the Jordanian army said today (Wednesday) that a military team was sent to carry out tests to ascertain the identity of the remains of the bodies.
It was announced in Palestinian media that a Palestinian resident discovered remains of ancient skeletons while cultivating his land in a mountainous area in the village of Beit Hanina west of Jerusalem.
This is a village located outside of Jerusalem and under the control of the Palestinian Authority, and not in the Beit Hanina neighborhood itself which is located within the city.

Images posted on social media showed skulls and bones in what was described as a mass grave.
Next to him was a sharp metal tool whose nature is unclear.
At this point, it is not known whose remains the bodies that were discovered belong to, and what the circumstances were in which they were buried and from what period.
Eyewitnesses in the area claimed that there was a military base in this area that belonged to the Jordanian Arab Legion before 1967, but no evidence has been found for this hypothesis so far.
