After a short winter interlude: Bavaria is facing a dramatic change in weather – double-digit plus degrees

For a short time it looked like winter with the Bavarian weather.
But the impression is deceptive.
Double-digit plus degrees are already awaiting us throughout Bavaria in the coming days – in the middle of January.
Munich – Our most recent Bavarian weather attracted a great deal of attention, and many winter sports enthusiasts were also delighted.
Meteorologists predicted snow in rough quantities.
And in fact, it snowed up to 600 meters in the past few days.
In the Alps and in the Bavarian Forest there was even a closed snow cover over 900 meters.
Winter sports enthusiasts, ski resort operators and all other winter fans rejoiced: Is winter starting a bit late after all?

Is winter starting in Bavaria after all?
Unfortunately no: 12 degrees in Munich on Wednesday
Unfortunately, no.
The weather forecasts of the German Weather Service and other relevant weather experts speak a different language.
Already on Wednesday (January 11) in Munich the 12 degree mark should be exceeded again.
Even a few hundred meters higher, for example at Tegernsee, the temperatures will reach 10 degrees.
Two-digit plus degrees in mid-January up to the Alps.

Weather in Bavaria: the forecast remains spring-like
And the warm Wednesday is not a brief interruption in the start of winter, it rather heralds a new warm phase that will last for the time being.
What's more, it's getting warmer every day.
During the night on Thursday, the temperatures in the Alps and in the Bavarian Forest go below zero again.
During the day then again double-digit plus degrees in large parts of the Free State.
And in the night to Friday then no more frost.
Nowhere.
Even in the Bavarian Alpine valleys, the DWD forecast is: plus one degree minimum.
That's 4 degrees too warm even for snow cannons.
According to the current forecast, this weather situation will not change until next week.
According to the DWD long-term forecast, it could only be significantly cooler again on Monday.

Weather in Bavaria: If you at least hope for sun now... difficult
If you are hoping for at least a few hours of sunshine, you will most likely find it on Thursday morning near the Alps.
It could also get a little lighter on Saturday.
Apart from that, thick, gray clouds determine the picture in the Bavarian sky.
From which sometimes shower-like downpours fall.
Strong, sometimes stormy westerly winds are blowing.

The current weather conditions are not only stressful for winter sports enthusiasts, but also for our most hard-working farm animals, the bees.
They wake up at temperatures above 10 degrees.
The queen lays eggs even though she should be recovering, the workers look for food, which they can't find anywhere in January.
