Straight from Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Rabbi Yaakov Israel Herzog, the first Rabbi of Saudi Arabia, arrived in the capital of Morocco, Rabat, to the residence of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yosiah Pinto.

The rabbi of Saudi Arabia asked to receive the blessing and guidance of Rabbi Pinto and reviewed his activities for the Jews living in Saudi Arabia. Rabbi Herzog has been working in recent years to make kosher food and other religious needs available to Jews in Saudi Arabia and he receives full backing from the local government.
According to him, "There are thousands of Jews living in Saudi Arabia
in Saudi Arabia and come to Saudi Arabia for business purposes.
There are also many Jewish soldiers from the United States Army who are in Saudi Arabia and there is a great demand for religious needs," Rabbi Herzog told Rebbe Rabbi Pinto.

"You sanctify the name of heaven with dedication," Rabbi Pinto replied to the rabbi of Saudi Arabia, "like Nachshon ben Aminadav, the president of the tribe of Judah, who jumped first into the Red Sea, so you also work to spread the light in places where there is no one."
Rabbi Pinto greeted warmly and said: "The Holy One, blessed be He, will give you a great divine help and you and your family will be blessed with all the good."
