In a conversation with Israel Hayom, the Minister of National Security referred to the statements of the senior member of his party who called for the arrest of the Prime Minister and the former Minister of Defense for "treason to the homeland" • On members of his faction: "I considered stopping interviews, but I am in favor of freedom of speech" • Regarding the waving of PA flags On the protests: "There is a dispute between me and the police, if necessary I will raise a bill" • On the protests this coming weekend: "Fear of injury to the policemen"

Minister of National Security and Chairman of Otzma Yehudit Itamar Ben Gvir addressed this morning (Wednesday) the uproar caused by the statements of members of the Knesset in his party, led by MK Tzvika Fogel who called for the arrest of Lapid and Gantz for "treason to the homeland".

In a conversation with "Israel Today" said Ben Gvir: "I considered banning interviews, but I am in favor of freedom of expression.

I would have preferred that Zvika Fogel had not said these things."

Ben Gvir on Fogel: "Hero of Israel"

Ben Gvir referred to MK Fogel's many years of experience in the military system. "He is a hero of Israel, both he and Almog Cohen see the pictures, hear the voices, the call for civil war, Lapid talks about blood in the streets," added Ben Gvir. "Golan says Shut down the state and Meri Zehri, Michal Shir calls to set the state on fire.

If we had said that, they would have arrested us."

The minister places the blame on the leaders of the opposition, who he says are engaged in continuous incitement against him and his coalition partners.

"We will not arrest Gantz and Lapid. But let them show responsibility and stop the incitement. Most of the protesters are normal, but we have seen calls to incite signs of Levin's opponent on MDS, calls for Nazis. My policy is freedom of speech, but signs about Nazis should be taken down."

seriousness and determination

The minister also referred to the issue of waving Palestinian Authority flags as part of the anti-government demonstrations.

"There is a dispute between me and the police regarding the waving of wizard flags. If necessary, I will put forward a bill."

He added that the police are basing themselves on Raz Nazri's opinion.

"I think this is not true," added Ben Gvir.

"The PLO appoints terrorists, transfers money to baby killers.

It's a terrorist organization.

I will contact the ombudsman. Waving a wizard flag is support for a terrorist organization."

The chairman of Otzma Yehudit also referred to the anti-government demonstrations that are expected during the coming weekend.

I instructed the police to act seriously and decisively," the minister said.
