This is one of the good news of the year 2023: Michel Sardou is back on stage for a series of concerts.
While he had sworn never to sing again, the taulier - title he disputes with Eddy Mitchell - takes back his microphone from Marshal and will perform in the huge Paris La Défense Arena.
To wait until the end of the year, W9 had the idea of classifying the favorite songs of the French in all of Sardou's repertoire.

Thanks to an Ifop poll, W9 ranks this Wednesday the 20 most popular titles of the artist.
Twenty songs out of nearly three hundred and forty, skimming is tough.
There are, of course, the classics "Lacs du Connemara", the powerful "I'm going to love you", the heady "Maladie d'amour", the poignant "Le France", the intoxicating "La Java de Broadway" or the enigmatic “I fly”.
Classic, but effective.
Purists will say that we don't classify Mozart's works or that we don't choose between mom and dad.

And reward a rich career of 50 years and more than 100 million albums sold.

Storyteller, charmer, columnist, pamphleteer, the one who will celebrate his 76th birthday on January 25 is a jack-of-all-trades that is difficult to sum up in 20 ultra-popular titles – which ultimately correspond little to him as the documentary shows, because these are the songs they like least.
But the public has its reasons that reason ignores.
