Today, the regional defense headquarters of the Donetsk People's Republic announced the liberation of the town of Podgorodnoye in the Soledar region.
Sputnik quoted the headquarters as saying in a post on its official Telegram channel: “Today, the Russian armed forces liberated the town of Podgorodnoye, southwest of the city of Solidar, on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, after battles with the Ukrainian forces.”
This comes a day after the acting president of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, announced that the city of Solidar within the republic had already come under the control of Russian forces.
