The protests of the "Last Generation" are becoming increasingly radical.

Research has now shown that the organization even pays its activists.

Berlin – Activists of the “Last Generation” spend their free time protesting climate change, sticking themselves to streets or throwing food at paintings.

However, as research by

revealed, there are also some activists who dedicate themselves to the protests full-time - and are paid for it.

"Last Generation": Climate stickers are paid for protests

The newspaper found out through chat messages, internal documents and participation in online seminars.

Accordingly, the activists are funded by donations received by the organization.

According to the research, the organization can pay its activists monthly salaries of up to 1,300 euros.

The level of income depends on how much the activists need to live.

Accordingly, the association issues employment contracts with the activists.

These can be employed full-time, part-time or as mini-jobbers as required.

However, the money will be paid out by the “last generation”, not by “change alliance”.

As the newspaper reported, the CEO said when asked that the club had not received any money from the "last generation".

However, within the “change alliance” there is the “non-profit educational work” initiative to support the “last generation”.

The association employs a total of 30 paid staff.

Through the legal protection through employment contracts with the "change alliance", the activists would receive an income even if they quit their actual jobs and are also covered by social insurance.

The nature of the protests has also intensified in recent weeks.

The activists stuck to the Berlin airport several times and sometimes even disrupted air traffic.

There were also some protests at the party headquarters of the governing parties.
