In December, the climate activists kept the city of Munich in suspense, currently it is quiet.

But now the general decree has expired.

Will it be back soon?

Munich - There is calm on the streets of the city.

At least as far as past generation gluing activities are concerned.

There have been no demos by climate activists in the state capital since December 24th.

The city's general decree on meetings in connection with the road blockades and protest actions also expired on Sunday at midnight.

And it shouldn't be extended.

Munich: There are currently no climate activists in police custody – “no need”

The general decree of the district administration department (KVR) had referred to sticking and blocking actions that were not previously reported and occurred on certain roads that are relevant for rescue operations and hazard prevention measures.

But there hasn't been any action for more than two weeks.

And this despite the fact that no activist has been in police custody in Munich since January 5.

In addition, the Munich officials are currently not aware of any further actions by the climate stickers.

General decree of the district administration department (KVR) in Munich expired

"Therefore, according to the current situation, there is no reason and no need to continue or extend the general decree," said the KVR when asked by

.

But: Should the circumstances change, the authorities will reassess the situation together with the police and examine the necessary measures.

If in doubt, they would get together quickly.

Because one thing is also clear to the Munich police: "The general decree has made it easier to deal with the protests." But it was only ever designed temporarily.

In the fight against climate change, activists of the "last generation" are protesting with violent actions.

One of them used to work for car brands of all things.

What's behind it.
