The municipality of Bichl wants to tackle some construction projects in 2023.

Which projects will be implemented in concrete terms will soon become apparent in the municipal council once the budget consultation has been completed.

Bichl - What is already certain is that the new building yard will be completed in the spring.

"We've come a long way," says Mayor Benedikt Pössenbacher.

In addition to the interior fittings, only the electrical installation is missing, and the asphalt and paving work is still to be done, "but that hasn't been possible so far because of the weather," explains the head of the town hall.

With the opening and inauguration of the new building in the spring, an open day will also take place.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.

Level crossing at the Bühel has been closed since 2019

The municipality has been busy with the two level crossings "Am Bühel" and on the federal highway 11 for years. The unrestricted level crossing "Am Bühel" has been closed since 2019, when there was almost an accident there.

Since then, lattice fences have been installed there to prevent crossing the tracks, but secret routes have emerged.

The work that needs to be carried out on this level crossing is the responsibility of the railways.

According to them, planning for the level crossing has begun.

Pössenbacher adds that a cycle and footpath is to be created there to make crossing easier.

Reconstruction of the level crossing is planned for 2024

At the request of our newspaper, a spokeswoman for the railway explained the current situation: "The building law documents have now been drawn up and submitted to the Federal Railway Authority.

They are currently being checked there.” The conversion and commissioning are still planned for 2024.

The construction project, a footpath and cycle path with staggered grids, is to be built at the expense of the railway.

Access to Klosterallee will be relocated

At the level crossing on the B11, on the other hand, the entrance to Klosterallee will be relocated.

"This allows vehicles to turn more safely," explains the mayor.

In addition, farmers coming from the direction of Bichl are then permitted to turn left, which has so far been forbidden.

“But that is a matter for the road construction department.

The community has nothing to do with that,” says Pössenbacher.

Instead, the State Building Authority Weilheim takes care of it.

This is also ready to go.

The work will be carried out in spring or summer 2023.

The federal government bears all of the costs.

Photovoltaic systems for the communal properties

There are still a few projects on the community plan, but these will first have to be discussed by the finance committee.

"We have our sights firmly set on the building yard," said the mayor.

In addition, the Bahnhofstraße is to be expanded and the Fahrkopfweg is to be developed structurally.

What is also on the to-do list for this year: "We want to equip all of the municipality's properties with photovoltaic systems," explains Pössenbacher.

“We are already getting offers for this.

We'll see what we can do with it.

It's always difficult to say before the budget consultation."

In contrast to 2022, this year there is not such a big celebration in Bichl as the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Bichler veterans.

The mayor doesn't think that's a bad thing.

"Often the smaller festivals are the decisive ones," he says with a smile and refers to the calendar of events on the municipality's website.
