Mayor Kröger waives her seat in the state parliament

The designated mayor of Rostock, Eva-Maria Kröger (left), officially announced on Tuesday that she would be relinquishing her seat in the state parliament.
At the end of January 31, she will leave parliament, the state parliament announced late Tuesday evening.
The 40-year-old has been a member of parliament since the state elections in 2016.
Kröger had resigned on 27.
Rostock - November in a runoff election with a lead of almost 17 percentage points over its competitor, the non-party Michael Ebert, supported by the CDU/UFR and FDP.
She will take office as mayor on February 1.
The office of Lord Mayor is awarded for a period of seven years.
With almost 210,000 inhabitants, Rostock is the largest city in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
Kröger is the first elected mayor in the long historical line of 231 mayors and mayors in the city.
