The director of the Savings Bank branch in As-Suwayda, Mamoun Shujaa, revealed that the value of loans granted by the branch and its affiliated office in Salkhad during the past year amounted to 10 billion and 453 million pounds, of which 3,597 were borrowers, an increase of more than 4 billion and 418 million pounds over the previous year.
Shujaa stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the increase in the total amounts of loans is due to credit facilities, simplification of procedures, the confidence of dealers in the bank, and the increase in grant ceilings.
Shujaa pointed out that the bank grants loans to low-income state workers, military personnel, and retirees, as well as real estate purchase for those with scientific and liberal professions, and the comprehensive development of liberal professions classified as micro, small, and medium projects, in addition to loans to support the Renewable Energy Fund.
Shujaa noted the facilities provided by the bank in various services such as withdrawals, deposits, etc., as well as reducing the number of guarantees for loans for people with limited income and the possibility of accepting one guarantor according to the salary of the borrower and the sponsor and the period of his service, indicating that the bank started at the beginning of the current year to provide the service of disbursing the salaries of retirees affiliated with the public institution. for insurance and pension, and their names are transferred for disbursement by it.
