No train service

If you are traveling with the S-Bahn or the south-eastern Bavarian railway, you have to be prepared for two five-day rail replacement services in January.
Erding – And that from Thursday, January 19, 9:45 p.m. to Monday, January 23, 5 a.m. and from Friday, January 27, 9:30 p.m. to Monday, January 30, 3 a.m.
The railway announces that it has to renew the sleepers under the tracks in two sections of the route during these periods.
In the first week, the section of the S2 near Poing is affected, in the second that between Niederroth and Schwabhausen on the western branch to Dachau.
There are timetable changes, failures and rail replacement traffic (SEV), the railway announces.
The S-Bahn line S2 is affected, as well as trains of the Südwestbayernbahn (SOB) in the first period.
Between January 19th and 23rd, all S-Bahn trains between Riem and Markt Schwaben will be canceled with a few exceptions.
Alternatively, a SEV runs every 20 minutes and stops at all stations.
Between Markt Schwaben and Riem, the travel time with the replacement service is about 25 minutes longer.
S-Bahn passengers can also use the trains of the Südwestbayernbahn between Markt Schwaben and Munich.
Individual S-Bahn journeys on the Regelweg are possible in the early morning hours and at night.
The S-Bahn runs between Erding and Markt Schwaben as scheduled.
Changed travel times between Mühldorf and Munich apply to the SOB throughout the period.
On Friday, there will be isolated trains between Mühldorf and Munich or between Markt Schwaben and Munich.
Some trains between Munich East and Munich Central Station will be canceled on Saturday and Sunday.
From January 27th to 30th, the S2 between Dachau and Altomünster will be canceled.
