The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized, during its monitoring tours of markets and commercial events today, 32 catering controls, with a total fine of 6 million eight hundred and eighty-two thousand and fifty-five Syrian pounds.
The Director of Internal Trade in Lattakia, Eng. Ahmed Zaher, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the seizures were distributed between organizing an illegal disposal of 8 tons of cement, and the violator was fined a total amount of 3,255,680 Syrian pounds, and a supply seizure was organized against the contractor for trading in an amount 8 tons of black cement delivered by the state illegally.
Zaher added: It has been organized to control my supply in violation of the trade in gasoline illegally, in addition to the organization of control of my supply on charges of smuggling ration flour.
In the same context, Zaher indicated that a violation of selling rationary bread outside the smart card reader was seized, and the violator was fined 425,000 pounds, and a number of seizures were organized in violation of not announcing service fees in restaurants, pricey meals, and food stores.
Eight samples of food and non-food items were also taken to conduct the necessary analyzes and to show their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
