The police spokesman explains the arrest: “Rachid C. was discovered in France in a car with his sister”.

The French police were informed about the manhunt and arrested the man 110 kilometers from Strasbourg.

The fugitive covered a total of 470 kilometers.

The wanted killer had changed his appearance, especially his hair and beard.

"He did not resist arrest."

It is currently being determined whether Rachid C. had help with the escape.

The police spokesman does not want to confirm whether the murderer owned an illegal mobile phone in the prison, as reported by several media.

The officials cannot confirm whether the man was not wearing an ankle bracelet because of an injured foot.

Ankle shackles are not a general obligation, in the courtroom the presiding judge decides whether the accused may be bound.
