What led you to go work in a hair salon at such a young age?
"The barbershop brought me the occupation and the time that prevented me from being drawn into boredom as a child in the streets and not from deteriorating into the street. I would go straight after school to work in a barbershop, from the age of 16 to 17 I studied the field in more depth, and then at the age of 17 I already started to specialize in the field. At the
age of 18 he went to Preparatory School military and then fought in Dvedven, after he was released he opened his first barber shop with whoever accepted him at the age of 15, for two years.
"I went to get professional and learn in Israel and in the world to broaden my horizons, I fly to London for training every year, and I bring with me the barbers who work in the barber shop.
It's important to me to take 16/17 year olds to work and see the path he went through at their age, and how it takes them in a better direction."
How has the corona virus affected you?
The corona virus was a very difficult year and gave me time to think, I was working in Tel Aviv at the time and I decided to return to Sderot, to bring the art of this profession to the periphery, which usually does not have a place that develops and promotes the books and the people who work at the hair salon on a professional and human level, these are the same tools I can give to my employees.
Today there is more strength and motivation than the first year I started the profession, today after the corona there is more motivation and enjoyment of the profession.
After your experience in Israel and around the world, how are we different from our friends overseas in this profession?
"The difference is that the Israelis don't want to go the real way, in Israel they want to shorten the way, in the world there is the way and this is the only way, that's why they reach the high levels there are.
And there is proof of that, today there are 1,100 customers from all over the country, from the north to the south, even though there is a barber shop starting at home They come because of the experience, the energy that the barbershop gives, that's their motivation to come to the barbershop even to Sderot.
Do you see the business developing as a network in the future?
"I don't want a network, I want one place that is warm, a factory of good people in this profession, in the network it is difficult to control quality raw material, the smaller you are, the raw material is of equal value, I do want a hair design academy and the way a beginning barber should do, and I hope May the universe lead me to it."
