A female student studying in the United States claimed that she was raped by her 60-year-old father when she returned to Hong Kong to avoid the epidemic. The female victim’s mother Y testified in the High Court today (11th).
She was shocked when her daughter claimed that she had been raped by the defendant. She felt that she had failed to protect her daughter. She also pointed out that her daughter said that she "didn't like Dad" at the time and wanted to use a "sack bag to cover the canal" before beating him.
When Y testified, she also revealed that she had a good relationship with the defendant, and later found out that the defendant had an extramarital affair, and she also told her daughter about it, and she was going through the divorce procedure with the defendant.
The defendant, aged 62, was charged with raping X at his residence from March 18 to March 31, 2020.
He was also charged with rape and indecent assault at his residence on a certain day in April of the same year.
X was 19 years old at the time of the incident.

He once told his daughter about the defendant's extramarital affair
X's mother revealed in her testimony today that after she and the defendant got married, they had a good relationship.
However, she found out that the defendant had an extramarital affair before the incident, and told her daughter X about it.
X's mother continued to point out that her daughter X was rude to the defendant and asked to change the lock of the door. Therefore, she learned about it from X in November 2020. X claimed that she was raped by the defendant in Shanghai in January of the same year. She was shocked when she heard it.

A few days later, she questioned X about the sexual assault incident. X said that during the Shanghai trip, he was forced by the defendant to have sex in a hotel room.
In addition, the defendant also raped X at the residence.
X also revealed that he was molested by his uncle when he was in the US.
X also described: "I really don't like my father" and wanted to use "a sack bag to cover the canal (defendant)" and then beat him. Mother X felt that she had failed to protect her daughter.
After calling the police and applying for divorce from the defendant
Since she was considering divorcing the defendant at the time, and she heard her daughter talk about the incident, she asked the lawyer for advice. The lawyer responded that she could report the sexual assault incident.
She called the police in December of the same year and filed for divorce in the same month, but due to disputes over property, the two have not officially signed the paper yet.
