The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the demolition of Palestinian homes and facilities by the Israeli occupation is a war crime and a crime against humanity, calling on the international community to break its suspicious silence regarding these violations and take action to stop them.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned, carried by Wafa Agency, that the occupation's escalation of demolitions in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank aims to eliminate the Palestinian presence and expand settlement operations in one of the most heinous ethnic cleansing operations that the occupation commits daily in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the repercussions of the ongoing demolitions are wide and lead to the displacement of Palestinian families, including children, women, the elderly and the sick, and leave them in the open without shelter in a gross and flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions, which requires serious action from the international community and not be content with dull condemnations.
