Summary.
Last December, journalists from the editorial staff of Le Parisien went to hear from the men and women who testified in our columns during the year 2022, and for whom this exhibition has been of great help.
On October 24, Mathilda tells us about the difficult situation in which she then finds herself.
This 59-year-old woman, originally from Cape Verde, has lived for 12 years in a 9 m2 cellar without a rental contract, in a building located close to the Eiffel Tower.
She pays 500 euros per month for this unsanitary room without sanitary facilities.
She had just been ordered to pay 12,000 euros to her landlord, after refusing to pay a higher rent.
His testimony in Le Parisien allowed him to find decent housing.
