"The Agency" on TMC: what has the series changed in the life of the Kretz family?

Their particularity?

Family work.

The parents, Olivier and Sandrine Kretz, initially commercial director and teacher, launched their business fifteen years ago.

They were then joined in this adventure by their four sons Martin, Valentin, Louis and Raphaël who has just arrived.

And it works out pretty well for them.

Their agency, called Kretz Family Real Estate, has become a real reference in the world of luxury real estate.

The proof: she is the one who manages the sale of Johnny Hallyday's house in Marne la Coquette.

This notoriety, acquired after hard years of hard work, also received a nice boost thanks to the show and its television exposure.

Launched in the fall of 2020, the series has conquered its audience.

The second season, broadcast in January 2022, thus achieved better audiences than the first with 600,000 viewers, on average.

Tonight, TMC is programming the start of the unreleased third season with more episodes.

Netflix has also taken hold of the phenomenon since the platform offers the first two seasons in its catalog.

An incredible notoriety

A success that inevitably benefits their family business, which now has around fifty agents compared to ten when the program was launched.

“Before starting the series, we had already developed the agency well

,” notes Martin, the eldest of the siblings.

We worked differently from the others, in a network and not as a franchise.

I can't calculate the exact impact the show had on our development, but in terms of notoriety and visibility, it was extraordinary

It's like a spider's web and that's how we try to capture the right buyer

This highlighting also allows them to make themselves known to many personalities.

While some have already been seen on the show like Fabrice Luchini, Lorànt Deutsch, Luana Belmondo or Linda Hardy, others appear in the third season, like the world champion and goalkeeper of West Ham United Alphonse Areola or the actor François Berléand.

“The more the series takes hold, the more we have the confidence of the personalities.

Fan letters, gifts and even mandates

Success of the series obliges, the Kretz also become public figures.

They are approached in the street – Valentin has even been recognized in Mongolia!

- and some receive letters from fans, notably Raphaël, the youngest of the still single siblings… Majo, the grandmother, also has many letters.

She has become the darling of her neighborhood and not only.

“I am stopped all the time in the street to take selfies

,” she confides.

It amuses me, the people are quite nice.

At the butcher's, it's "Hello Majo" now!

I even received small gifts from a lady from California”.

This celebrity also allows them to recover new goods.

"From time to time, we just have to walk in the street to bring in a mandate"

, explains Martin.

"When I have an appointment and I'm waiting for my client in the street, I'm approached and that sometimes leads to another case

," confides Valentin to the Buzz of TV Magazine.

New challenges

If the Kretz family therefore reaps the benefits of its television exposure, it does not rest on its laurels and continues to challenge itself.

She thus made her first sale in bitcoins during this third unpublished season:

“We knew nothing about it.

We inquired, called the notaries and it happened naturally.

It's scary because it's cryptocurrency and it seems to be completely virtual, but in the end it's quite a simple sale

,” says Valentin Kretz.

Real estate agents have also started using InstaLive, these virtual property visits relayed by social networks.

A client, living in New York, bought a Parisian apartment for 22 million euros... without having visited it!

This makes it possible to find buyers that we might never have had.

Since the launch of the series, the means of marketing have evolved.

And they haven't finished… A fourth season of “The Agency” is already filming.
