The "Goodbye Germany" stars Tamara and Marco Gülpen have built a new life on Mallorca.

The two live with their son near Ballermann.

But now they want to move away from the party mile.

Palma – Whether it's the South American rainforest, the cinematic metropolises of the USA or Mediterranean tourist paradises – the courageous emigrants from “Goodbye Germany” end up in the farthest corners of the world.

One travel destination seems to be particularly popular with the stars of the Vox show, which has been very successful for almost two decades: the Balearic island of Mallorca.

Tamara Gülpen (30) and her husband Marco (58) have also built a life on the small island – and enjoy their family happiness with their son Giulio (3) not far from Ballermann's sparkling nightlife.

"Not so family-friendly": "Goodbye Germany" star Tamara Gülpen wants to get away from Ballermann

For many Germans, Mallorca is the perfect place to watch the sunset on the beach or to party the night away with sangria and dance music.

So it's no wonder that the Gülpens, with their hotel "Hostal Playa de Palma", have found a reliable clientele with both party-goers and holidaymakers looking for relaxation, and are now considered anything but failed emigrants at "Goodbye Germany".

But there is one problem with the whole thing: It is well known that Ballermann is not particularly quiet and peaceful, and even if they have built up a lot there, Tamara Gülpen is gripped by moving fever in the latest episode.

"It's just not that family-friendly," Tamara Gülpen explains her decision to leave Ballermann after such a long time, but she has still taken the tourist hotspot to her heart: "I love Ballermann just as he is and Ballermann shouldn't go, we have to go."

Together with her sweetheart, the Saarland native admires a luxurious property in the village of Badia Blava and immediately notices a clear difference to the clubs and pubs in her home country.

"These are little things, such as practicing riding a bike with the little one, that would work really well here on the street," she says happily, "There are just so many people at Ballermann that something like that wouldn't be possible."

How much does emigration cost?

Some would never dare, others have long dreamed of traveling into the unknown.

Even if emigrating sounds exciting – if you don’t want to return to Germany after a few months and have failed, you need a well-filled wallet.

A family of four should bring at least 90,000 euros in seed capital to the adopted country.

The more ambitious the project, the larger the financial buffer should be.

If you save, plan wisely and get detailed information about the destination before you leave, the new start on distant shores should be quite successful.

"I miss the atmosphere": "Goodbye Germany" star Marco Gülpen is not very enthusiastic about the move

Unfortunately, two things stand in the way of Tamara's dream of a villa with a view of the sea and a good night's sleep: the real estate agent has let her sit and Marco Gülpen is not very enthusiastic about the possible change of scenery.

"First of all, it costs about twice as much as we currently pay in rent," he sums up after a few glances over the garden fence, "And secondly, I miss the atmosphere a bit.

A little quiet here.”

There doesn't seem to be a mobile phone network in the picture-book landscape with a view of the wide open sea either, and Marco can hardly resist a cheeky comment: "Do you think they already have electric lights here?"

When the two of them are finally allowed to marvel at the living room from the inside the next day and Marco raves about the large windows and the lots of space, Tamara's sweetheart also seems to be completely convinced of the new place.

However, there is a catch:

Because the noble house already has an interested party who has already transferred the deposit and only if the payment does not arrive on time would the Gülpens still have a chance at the dreamlike family home.

The coming episodes will show whether the emigrant dream couple will succeed in moving to the child-friendly neighborhood.

Meanwhile, her “Goodbye Germany” colleague Caro Robens spends a fortune on cosmetic surgery.
