The book (Readings in History, Identity, and Culture) by Dr. Farouk Aslim examines the authenticity of the Arabic language and the history of Arabism, the current era of challenges and attempts at cultural invasion, and the need to protect belonging and confront everything that threatened our authentic presence.

The book indicates the seriousness of the cultural crisis, considering that the Arab struggle for a Zionist is a struggle of existence and identity, so we must pay attention to our awareness and culture to face challenges to the continuity of the unified historical existence of the nation.

The writer explained that the setbacks suffered by the Arab national project in the Arab arena and the problems at the level of Arab countries since the beginning of the American blockade of Iraq and the destruction of its economy, and the subsequent sectarian and ethnic division marginalized Arab history and Arab identity, and worked to dismantle patriotism.

In the book, the researcher Aslim sheds light on the importance of popular resistance at the interface of normalization with the Zionist project, especially the resistance of writers and intellectuals to Arabs, trade unions and their leading parties.

In his book, the researcher drew attention to the seriousness of what the Arab nation is facing, which exceeds what other nations have faced in its challenge to the false Zionist settlement project, in addition to what Palestine is facing due to the replacement and abolition of the Arab identity in favor of a Western Hebrew.

Dr. Aslim believed that the fortification of the Arab and national identity is a broad-spectrum work that connects with awareness and response to challenges and the behavior of citizenship, which is needed for the national and Arab culture, indicating that it is necessary to support the orientation of the intellectual to preserve his identity and awareness and not to abandon his history, belonging and patriotism, in the face of renewal that is not compatible with his personality.

The book is one of the publications of the Arab Writers Union, and it is in two hundred pages of pieces by Kabir. Its author is a member of the executive office of the Arab Writers Union and president of the Arab Heritage magazine. And his issues in pre-Islamic poetry) and (the poet critic) and others.
