It's simple: a fan has done nothing wrong to anyone.

And that's what makes this whole story so cringeworthy - not the LOVE IS LOVE thing, but the fact that a fan spreads around him the energies of a horny, older uncle who feels the need to tell about his dusty sexual adventures to the younger generation in order to prove to himself that he's still cool and "that his power is still in his waist".
