A puppy was kidnapped yesterday (Wednesday) from the hands of Roi Goili, a 40-year-old man on the autistic spectrum, who was keeping her in the car he was sitting in in Kfar Saba.
According to him, the person who kidnapped her from him rode a scooter and fled the scene.
Goili's family appealed to the municipality and the police to open the security cameras in the place, in order to locate the suspect in the act, but so far their request has not been answered.
"Roi is very attached to the puppy, since she came to us he has not left her for a minute, he even sleeps with her in his bed," wrote his sister Liraz in a post she uploaded on Facebook.
"My brother's condition is worse since that theft, and anyone who knows what autism is knows what I'm talking about."
Hadas Goili, Roy's mother, said that the incident happened on Weizman Street in the city, where they were walking with the dog on a leash.
"I went into one of the stores, and Roy didn't want to go into the store so he waited outside and sat in the car with the door open when the dog bit on him," she said.
"When I come back from shopping, I see Roy without the puppy, and then he told me that a guy passing by on a scooter kidnapped her and ran away."
Following this, Hadas filed a police complaint.
She also asked the municipality to open the security cameras on the street, but was refused.
"I told them they were complicit in the crime," she said, "it's absurd, this law just helps the thief."
"My son went into trauma, he was pale," Hades said.
"Apparently the kidnapper saw that this was a person with special needs, and simply stole her from him."
"Where have we come? This is how to hurt a helpless person," she added.
"We received the dog as a gift from someone three weeks ago, who knew that I have a child with special needs and that it helps."
