AfD faction wants teachers to become officials immediately

In the fight against the shortage of teachers, the AfD parliamentary group in Baden-Württemberg calls for the immediate appointment of young teachers after the second state examination.

Unemployment following the traineeship should be avoided through a seamless transition with continued payment, said the new parliamentary manager of the parliamentary group, Daniel Lindenschmid, on Thursday after his party's closed conference in Stuttgart.

Stuttgart - "But this should not be done by extending the training contract, but with the receipt of the second state examination, the civil service should take place directly."

Given the shortage of teachers, dissuasive moments such as unemployment between the end of the preparatory service and the beginning of the new school year should be abolished.

"This would be an important step in the fight against the shortage of teachers and thus in the direction of ensuring the quality of education in Baden-Württemberg, which is crucial for the economic success of our state," said Lindenschmid.
