In the Deux-Sèvres, the police have been taking turns for months to ensure the surveillance of the substitution reserves intended for the intensive irrigation of crops, these "basins" which have been in the news for several months.

Sixteen works must be built on the Sèvre Niortaise and the Mignon, at the gates of the Marais poitevin.

Targeted on numerous occasions by environmental and anti-basin activists, the first two reserves located in Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon and Sainte-Soline were thus placed under a bell jar by the gendarmerie and the prefecture of Deux-Sèvres.

This show of force and the means implemented challenge in this department.

It is not planned to charge the Water Cooperative with (these) costs in the form of a compensated security service since the maintenance of order (…) falls under the obligation of the public authorities
