The woman who was involved yesterday, with her partner, in an avalanche that fell near the "Nuvolau" refuge in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno) died last night in Treviso hospital.
The victim, Giulia Ramelli, 34, from Mestre (Venice), was an expert ski instructor, enrolled in the Veneto Regional College.
During the ski mountaineering excursion she together with Piero Paccagnella, also from Mestre, engineer and operations manager of the cable car in Tofana and Marmolada, she had been buried under two meters of snow by the avalanche under the Nuvolau refuge.
She was extracted from the Alpine Rescue and transported by helicopter to the Treviso hospital, she had been judged in very serious condition by the doctors.
