The through road from Kranzberg is closed.

This eliminates stops - which parents were quite surprised about after the Christmas holidays.

Kranzberg/Allershausen

- At the beginning of the week there were "rather chaotic situations" in school bus traffic in both Kranzberg and Allershausen, as parents describe the situation.

Reason: the canal construction work in the through-road of Kranzberg (district road FS 24).

The resulting elimination of stops, diversions and changed departure times were apparently not communicated in such a way that all parents and students could react to them.

Robert Stangl, spokesman for the district office, said when asked by the Freisinger Tagblatt that the district authority had not received any complaints.

In addition, the changes in the timetable were announced shortly before the start of the Christmas holidays on all the websites of the municipalities concerned and the MVV.

Nevertheless, according to the parents concerned: In Kranzberg, students had to go home because no bus had come.

Another unwelcome consequence: the Allershausen buses, which many Kranzberg students boarded instead, were then packed – even worse than usual.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The trigger for the changes, which are still valid until January 31 and which affect the regional bus lines 616, 619 and 695, are canal construction work in the area of the Kranzberg through road, which necessitates a complete closure of the section.

Lines 616 and 619 will be diverted in the Kranzberg area: As the district office now also announces on its website, service is guaranteed in school-relevant times, but there are significantly earlier departure times in the morning and later arrivals in the home towns in the afternoon or after school due to diversion.

Important: Unfortunately, individual trips can no longer serve the Kranzberg area outside of school-related times.

Line 695 will run in the Kranzberg area with a different route until the end of January.

The Kirchbergstrasse and Zeislstrasse stops are no longer used.

Passengers on line 695 should switch to the Untere Dorfstraße stop, passengers from Giesenbach should use the replacement stop at the intersection.

A look at the homepage provides security

Please refer to the diversion timetables for details, which are published online on the Stadtwerke Freising website and the MVV website, as well as at the affected stops.

Basically, according to Stangl's tip, it never hurts to look at the relevant websites at the end of the vacation period to see whether there have been any changes to the school bus schedules.
