"We extended a hand for negotiations, and it is still extended," Gantz mentioned his demand for the establishment of a team that would bring about a common agreement on the reform.

Just yesterday, opposition leader Lapid said in an interview on News 13 that he and Gantz decided together not to come to the protest.
"The organizers of the demonstration in the Bima square asked that we not turn the demonstration into a partisan one," explained Lapid.
"I consulted with Gantz and we decided not to come, but the MKs of Yesh Atid will be there, the activists of Yesh Atid will be there.
I call on every Israeli citizen to come out and demonstrate to protect this country from an attempt to abolish democracy."

In the meantime, the police are on high alert ahead of the demonstration on Saturday night.
Thousands of police officers will be deployed on the streets of Tel Aviv, and a senior police officer told Israel Hayom today: "The police will place a Makhtazite near the demonstration complex on Saturday night." in which they are not used.
