The management team of the Wuselvilla family meeting needs voluntary support.
Everyone can contribute according to their strengths.
Geretsried – Get to know other mothers, fathers, grandmas or grandpas over a cup of coffee while the children play together: The Wuselvilla on Adalbert-Stifter-Straße in Geretsried offers that and much more.
For 32 years, the family gathering was known as the "mothers' center".
For a year now, the new name has made it clear that all visitors with babies, toddlers, pre-school and primary school children are welcome.
The volunteers are urgently looking for new committed board members so that things can continue to scurry around in the rooms.

In March of last year, Kerstin Menk took over the chair from Andrea Schimpf, who wanted to put the club in younger hands after 15 years.
After the difficult conditions caused by the corona pandemic, she launched new offers together with Katrin Michel, Marlene Mauss, Betül Cakir-Möckl and Alexandra Spiel.
Since Menk is expecting another child, she will make the chair available at the general meeting with a new election in January.
Two other women from the management team want to step down.

"We absolutely wanted it to continue," explains Katrin Michel.
At that time it was already clear that some could not remain on the board for long.
"It's a problem of the times," says the board member.
With small children, mothers and fathers are involved in the care.
When the offspring is older, it would be possible to take on voluntary work.
"But then everyone has to go back to work," says Michel, describing the problem.
The hope of the Wuselvilla team is that new supporters will always be found.
"We would be happy if someone had the time and inclination to take on tasks."
Board positions in the Wuselvilla family get-together are filled
In the association with 216 members, everyone supports everyone else.
"We don't let anyone down," emphasizes Michel.
She wants to take away any fears of committing to an office.
Everyone can contribute according to their strengths.
That's why no one on the board is sitting in their post.
“We can redistribute everything,” she explains.
A good introduction to the Wuselvilla is the coffee service.
This is the open meeting every Monday and Wednesday afternoon and Tuesday and Thursday morning.
"Somebody always has to unlock the door and make coffee," says Michel.
The association is looking for helpers for events such as the lantern procession or a visit from St. Nicholas.
Many offers for families in the Wuselvilla
There are many different areas of responsibility on the board itself: coordinating the coffee services, representing the association in municipal committees as chairperson or chairman, registering for the pre-kindergarten group, applying for funding, public relations, creating the program and flyers, and member administration.
Renovation work has to be done again and again.
"We probably have someone to take care of the finances," announces Michel.
If you would like to take over something in the association, you can send an e-mail (wuselvilla@outlook.de) or speak to the board members personally.

There are several playgroups in the Wuselvilla that the initiators organize themselves.
Fathers' evening has also become independent.
"That's great," says Michel happily.
The open meeting is the most important thing for the association.
"The contact point helps many." The family brunch, a new offer, was also well received.
After the pandemic, handicraft afternoons revived and there were activities such as the reading afternoon.
"It was always well attended," reports the board member.
How many individual events can take place in the year that has just begun depends on whether energetic board members can be found.
The Wuselvilla is open to all families.
