The Freisinger FDP district council duo wants to continue to put pressure on and also step on the gas in 2023.

About in terms of S-Bahn extension.

District

- They are a duo, they see themselves as a "service group for the citizens": the two FDP district councilors Susanne Hartmann and Tobias Weiskopf.

Following the “liberal tradition”, they invited to the digital Epiphany press conference on Wednesday – including a review of 2022 and an outlook for 2023.

Susanne Hartmann, who was elected mayor in Fahrenzhausen three months ago, spoke of a "very successful year" for the FDP district council.

Numerous applications have been made - from flagging the district office with the Ukraine flag to the provision of hygiene articles in the district schools - most of which have been accepted, albeit sometimes slightly modified.

But Hartmann and Weiskopf are unanimously “severely disappointed” on one point: that the hybrid meetings of the district committees and the district council, which were introduced at the request of the FDP, will not be continued in 2023.

With partly "outrageous arguments" and inaccurate prejudices, a contemporary and sensible relief was abolished - a decision that, according to Hartmann, means "a step backwards in communication and intelligence".

The FDP definitely wants hybrid sessions again

But the FDP is not giving up: background talks will be held, they will advocate even better technology and possibly also suggest sanctions for possible violations by district councils, in order to then bring about the reintroduction of hybrid meetings on this basis.

The FDP district council will also keep going when it comes to the U 6 extension: Although the evaluation matrix newly designed under FDP Transport Minister Volker Wissing does not mean that the concept is economically viable, pressure will still be exerted.

This year, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport will take a look at the situation on site.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

A topic that will also extend from 2022 into 2023 (and far beyond) are the schools: Weiskopf reiterated the position of the FDP that a new building for the vocational school was urgently needed and renewed his criticism that in the matter JoHo takeover by the district "a compromise between city and district did not work well".

Of course, they will support the decision to take over the JoHo in this way, but then it is important to quickly determine how to proceed: general renovation, new building at the current location or new building at a different location.

The Liberals are now doing the bus survey themselves

And then there was something very up to date: After an application by the FDP to carry out a "big bus survey" was rejected by the administration with the information that such a survey is carried out annually, but that one has not seen any so far, one will now do it oneself Active: At www.busumfrage.de you can now take part in a month-long survey on local public transport in the district with all its aspects.

Then the data will be evaluated and made available to the district office, according to Weiskopf.

After all, one is “the service group for the citizens”.

And according to Hartmann, the district council colleagues consider you to be “the young wild ones – that is, he is the young one and she is the wild one”.

Admonitions from some district councilors that as a newcomer you should look at what is happening in the district council in silence for six years, Hartmann acknowledged: "Yes, where do we live?"
