On Saturday, January 14th, the time has come: the small ice rink made of synthetic material, which has been set up on Schongau's Marienplatz over the past few days, will be opened.
Schongau
– The countdown is on: From Saturday, January 14, 11 a.m., you can skate in the old town of Schongau.
On Monday, employees of the Schongauer Bauhof installed the substructure with large wooden panels on Marienplatz and built the 50 square meter ice rink out of plastic.
Trees that the Schongau advertising association had distributed for their Christmas campaign in the old town are now to be decorated and placed on Marienplatz to create a nice atmosphere, says location promoter Tina Birke.
And: "Insider circles of the EA Schongau are already whispering that the youth guard will appear at the opening on Saturday." There will also be an insight into the program of the ice skating department.
On Thursdays (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and Saturdays (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), the EAS offers goal wall and speed shooting.
There are prizes to be won in the competitions, which are provided by Schongau shops and establishments.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.)

Individual appointments for groups can be arranged with Maximilian Becher.
By e-mail to max.becher@ea-schongau.de or by phone 0171/8770947.
Some children's birthday parties and companies have already done this - but there are still free dates, says Birke.
The EAS provides rental equipment if required.
If you want to go skating spontaneously, you can stop by at any time without registering.
The ice rink is open until February 11th.
The campaign is intended to serve to revitalize the old town in winter and is funded by the program "Invigorate inner cities".
