An "assault on police" case occurred in North Point.
At around 0:00 in the morning, at the opposite of No. 370 King's Road, North Point, it was reported that a man took off his mask and smoked on the side of the road. Law, prosecuted the man and issued a citation.
It is reported that someone who smelled of alcohol suddenly kicked the door of the police car out of suspicion during the period. It happened that a male police officer was on the way to board the car, and his hand was pinched by the door.
Other police officers immediately arrested the man and detained him on suspicion of "assaulting the police".
The injured police officer was sent to the hospital for examination.
According to the scope of reasonable excuse under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Mask) Regulations, smoking is not included.
Anyone who enters or is in a public place is not allowed to take off the mask to smoke.
The injured policeman was taken to hospital by ambulance.

According to the police, the arrested person was named Yang and was 28 years old.

After preliminary investigation, Yang was arrested on suspicion of "assaulting the police", and the case was handed over to the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
