A tourist posed with a monkey at Monkey Beach in Thailand - but he didn't really want to take the photo session.

A video shows him fighting back.

The monkeys at the famous Monkey Beach on Thailand's Ko Phi Phi archipelago are a real tourist attraction.

On

Tripadvisor

, some travelers even think that the beach is only worth seeing because of the primates.

Relaxing comfortably on a towel is not possible because of the crowds of visitors.

"Tourism is definitely reaching its limits, a real mass event at Monkey Beach," says one user here, for example.

But for many, the trip is worth it just to see the monkeys – and snapshots of holidaymakers who want to pose with the animals are collected on TikTok and Instagram.

Thailand holidaymaker gets on the nerves of the monkeys – they respond with a tit-for-tat response

However, one woman recently meant it too well: After she followed the animal several times in order to be able to take more photos with it, she also clapped her hands loudly to get the monkey's attention.

The primate finally seems to have had enough: He turns and runs towards the woman, who falls over in shock.

He then walks away in the opposite direction.

A video of it is now circulating on the internet (see above in the article).

Monkey Beach in Thailand: Monkeys can also become aggressive

The monkeys at Monkey Beach are now used to the presence of humans.

In addition, park rangers on the beach ensure that the animals are treated with respect, as reported by the

editorial network Germany (RND)

.

Feeding and touching is not allowed.

Every now and then, however, the macaques become aggressive - which is also indicated by signs on the beach.

Videos can be seen again and again on social networks in which intrusive vacationers on the monkey beach are attacked by the animals.

The scratches and bites can lead to infection.

A doctor should therefore be consulted immediately.
