The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized ration seizures against the owners of three private bakeries in the town of Ibtaa in rural Daraa, for violating the lack of weight of bread bundles.
Head of the Consumer Protection Division in the Directorate, Wissam Dakhlallah, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that violations of weight loss affected Al-Nama, Al-Ali and Ibtaa Al-Hadith bakeries, and they were fined a total amount of 2.522 million Syrian pounds in light of the amount of weight loss, indicating that consumer protection patrols organized an investigation against The owner of Al-Jahed's private bakery in Ibta' was also charged with breaching working hours.
Dakhlallah pointed out that the Directorate's patrols organized six rationary seizures against taxi owners and Sarafis for violations of overcharges and failure to announce prices. The seizures also affected a clothing store in Izraa city due to the lack of a commercial registry, and a roastery in Daraa for violating not announcing prices.
