Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant as worrying.
Russia Today website quoted Peskov as saying today in response to a journalist's question: It is still a matter of concern, and the Ukrainian side still believes that it is possible to continue bombing around the perimeter of the station.
Peskov indicated that the meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, during his upcoming visit to Moscow, is not on the agenda of President Vladimir Putin, but if necessary and if there is a request in this regard, it is possible to hold talks by phone.
Moscow has repeatedly confirmed that it is making every effort to establish a safe zone around the Zaporozhye station, and that it wants to accomplish this as soon as possible, but the Ukrainian bombing of its surroundings threatens a nuclear catastrophe.
