Acting President of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin called the calls for a green corridor in the city of Solidar cheap theatrics.
“The call of some Ukrainian media to organize a green corridor to take out the trapped Ukrainian soldiers in the Solidar area is a cheap play,” Novosti news agency quoted Pushilin as saying today.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced that units of the Russian airborne forces had surrounded Solidar from the northern and southern parts, and storming factions were fighting in the city against the remnants of the Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries.
In turn, Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner Special Military Group, announced that the Russian units had taken control of the center of Solidar, refusing to talk about any humanitarian corridor there.
