: Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gabir, participated today (Thursday) in the weekly assessment of the situation of the Israel Police which was held in Be'er Sheva.

Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai and SBS Commissioner Cathy Perry were also present at the meeting.

Ahead of the left-wing demonstration on Motzash, a senior police officer told Israel Hayom: "The police will place a Makhtazait near the demonstration complex on Shabbat evening."

This is a reminder of Minister Ben Gabir's demand for equality between the ultra-Orthodox demonstrations in which machtazites are used, and the left-wing demonstrations in which they are not used.

During the assessment of the situation, the police expressed fear of disturbances that may occur in the left-wing demonstrations against the government that will take place on Saturday night.

The police are on high alert, and thousands of police officers will be deployed on the streets.

However, the police announced that they would allow any citizen to demonstrate according to the law.

Police forces will be deployed at the protest locations, and will act to enforce any disorder that exceeds the freedom of demonstration as permitted by law.

The police emphasized that they would not allow the use of "Nazi symbols" as seen in the demonstration last Saturday night, where they held up signs mentioning connotations related to Nazi Germany.

The Israel Police announced: "We will act against any attempt to violate public order or attempt to harm the proper existence of protests as a matter of law."
