As-Suwayda - SANA
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in As-Suwayda rented 7 tons of citrus and vegetables from Tartous Governorate, and began offering them today in the city hall for vegetables and fruits.
Rasha Ghannam, head of the agricultural marketing department in the foundation's branch, said in a statement to Marsel SANA today that the quantities that were extracted included all kinds of citrus fruits, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers, indicating that they are sold at lower prices than the market, with rates ranging between 10 and 20 percent, depending on the variety and type.
Ghannam explained that the recruitment comes within the framework of the organization's work to market farmers' products and positive intervention, pointing out that there is a plan to import additional quantities of vegetables and fruits for the governorate during the coming period.
