Refreshment is expected from Sunday.
After a first fortnight in January marked by extreme mildness, the second half of the month will be closer to seasonal norms.
“It will be moderately cold, although slightly below seasonal averages.
But the weather will be very turbulent, with heavy rain, gales and significant accumulations of snow from the lower mountain (600 m),” warns the Weather Channel on Thursday.
The cooling is confirmed as of Sunday: it will be a moderate #cold although slightly lower than the average for the season.

Cold, windy and humid weather will therefore sweep away the abnormal mildness of this start to the year and will give way to “ordinary winter temperatures”, explains Gaétan Heymes, forecasting engineer and snow scientist at Météo France, on Twitter.
The north-east of the country should be affected first: a disturbance should arrive through this region on Saturday “and sink into the country on Sunday, accompanied by a colder air mass.
This will mark a change in the weather”, developed with the site Actu.fr the meteorologist Yann Amice.
Moderate but noticeable cold
Good news for ski resorts, these cooler temperatures should be accompanied by snowfall in the mountains, at low altitude, especially in the Pyrenees, the Massif Central and then the Alps.
Snow showers are also possible in the North and Northeast, between January 16 and 20, reports Actu.fr.
This cooling will be moderate and less intense than the episode of cold observed in December, underlines the Weather Channel.
However, it will remain noticeable, with a drop of 5 degrees in a few days.
