Although he did not know his tax number by heart, the Minister Delegate for Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, still filled out the online form with his hands for a request for "fuel allowance for low-income workers", during a official visit to Nice on Friday.
It was of course a simulation prepared by a tax department of the city, whose minister came to greet the agents in charge of the subject.
The latter was also present to officially launch the device, which will be accessible to all eligible French people from January 16, until February 28.
This compensation, - pale heiress of the discount at the pump for all which ended on December 31 -, in the amount of 100 euros paid only once, will be open to 10 million workers.
Eligible persons can apply for it via an online form on the taxes.gouv.fr website or directly at the tax centres.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, this concerns a third of tax households, or around 230,000 out of 720,000.
All registered vehicles are eligible, with two and four wheels, thermal or electric, with or without a licence.
In addition, it is also accessible to workers traveling on board a rental, leasing or company vehicle, as long as the company does not cover the fuel costs of its employees.
Only trucks and tractors are excluded.

The aid will be paid into the bank account and can be combined in the same household.
The latter is aimed at the most modest, the beneficiaries not having,

not to exceed the limit of 14,700 euros per tax share.

On average, an average motorist who works makes 12,000 kilometers in the year.
With the fuel allowance, it amounts to a rebate of around 10 cents per liter over the year
", indicated the Minister Delegate, specifying that the system should cost the State around one billion euros, eight times less than the previous one.

It was a rebate which helped French people, including those who did not need their car to work but who took it for something else, or who had income allowing them to absorb inflation unlike others for which is not possible.
