Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe gave each other a "warm hug"
in their reunion at Paris Saint-Germain training after the Qatar 2022 World Cup final in which Argentina beat France and became world champion.
The capital newspaper
Le Parisien
described the exchange between the Argentine and the Frenchman, who returned from his vacation in the United States, in the Camp des Loges locker room, training venue for the French champion team on the outskirts of Paris.
This time, PSG did not broadcast any image of the greeting between the two stars on social networks, therefore everything remained in the privacy of the locker room, said the local channel RMC, and limited itself to showing brief images of the practice.
Messi and Mbappé have not seen each other since the World Cup final in Qatar on December 18, since the man from Rosario was spending his holidays and parties in his hometown with his family.
For his part, Mbappé was still on vacation when Messi resumed training with the capital club on January 4.
On that occasion, the players and the coaching staff organized an honor guard for the new world champion.
The reunion was expected because questions were raised about how the Frenchman would react after the mocking celebrations that the Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez made in the presence of Messi.
"Celebrations are not my problem. I don't spend energy on such trivial things, the important thing for me is to give my best for my club, and we are going to wait for Leo to return to continue scoring and winning games," Mbappé said before his holidays.
