After an arson attack, two bank branches on Marktstrasse have still not reopened.
However, customers have alternative options.
Bad Tölz
– In mid-December there was a fire in two bank branches on Marktstrasse.
As reported, a 56-year-old from Tölzer set fire to the Sparkasse self-service branch and the Hypovereinsbank branch at night.
It is not yet clear when they will reopen.
A note is stuck to the door of the Hypovereinsbank branch informing customers that the branch cannot be opened temporarily due to fire damage in the self-service zone.
As a spokeswoman for Hypovereinsbank confirmed on request, the branch is currently completely closed.
"After checking the devices, a decision will be made as to when and what can be reopened as quickly as possible," she explains.
However, the employees can be reached by e-mail and by telephone via their extension numbers.
Hypo customers can go to Rottach, Miesbach or Holzkirchen, Sparkasse customers to Raiba
For branch services, the spokeswoman advises using the locations in Rottach-Egern (with checkout), Miesbach or Holzkirchen.
The note on the door of the bank branch also indicates that Hypovereinsbank customers can use the ATMs of the "CashGroup" (Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Postbank) with their Girocard free of charge.
Because transfers cannot currently be dropped into the mailbox in the branch, customers should switch to online or mobile banking for this.
If necessary, customers can send their transfers by post to UniCredit Bank AG, Arabellastraße 12, 81925 Munich.
As reported, the Sparkasse expects several weeks before it can open its self-service branch again.
A new fire protection curtain is needed there, but its arrival has been delayed due to current delivery problems.
“We are currently working at full speed there,” explains Thomas Bundschuh, Sparkasse spokesman.
However, he cannot yet say when it will be open again.
Until the branch is accessible again, customers of Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen can withdraw up to 1000 euros a day in the Raiffeisenbank at Kapellengasteig 2 free of charge.
