Desperation in a Buenos Aires neighborhood because pets disappear

2023-01-13T17:35:27.479Z

They denounce that the cats are stolen. Some believe that they use them for rites.

"Since the month of December, cats have been missing in Lomas de Zamora, it is what I see the most, but it also happens in nearby areas. The municipality has not yet communicated," says Natalia Milán, a neighbor of Lomas, in conversation with Clarin.

Specifically,

she denounces that during certain hours of the night, in the Villa Centenario neighborhood, domestic cats are kidnapped.

Among the affected neighbors they managed to meet and in the facebook group "

Villa Centenario Conectado"

, they upload and upload all the images with the data of the lost pets.

Some suspect that those who steal the animals would be a group of people belonging to a sect of religious worship.

In addition, Natalia expresses:

"Cats disappear every day, they are animals from their houses that have little clothes and everything and that the majority - like mine - do not go out"

.

Mine had never left, he had not left the house in the entire month of December and from one day to the next he disappeared."

On the Facebook Neighbors of Villa Centenario, the posts of people looking for their cat accumulate.

The fact became a problem - and ceased to be a mere individual suspicion - when Natalia, according to what she says, made the first publication in the Facebook group where they gather all the information about the lost cats.

In a matter of hours, several neighbors who saw the post she made commented that the same thing had happened to them.

"People started commenting on their lost kittens, all from the same area, every day,"

says Natalia.

"At first - he continues - it was not known if it was a specific neighbor who did this. But what is being said now is that it would be

a girl who asks for the adoption of cats and creates false profiles

so that they reach her from various sides, and that it hurts them to ask for monetary collaborations".

"She rescues them and then asks for the money supposedly to cure them," completes Natalia.

She says that they say that she is the daughter of a doctor at a hospital in Monte Grande and also that her uncle is involved.

It all started in December.

They thought they were getting scared and lost because of the World Cup festivities.

But in January things continued.

Several neighbors quickly began to spread and share the information not only through Facebook but also via Whats App. In one of them the following message circulated: "There is a teenager who mutilates animals in Turdera, Lomas de Zamora district. She has a new cell phone number and more than one ghost profile on social networks that he uses to offer transit or adopt.

The statement continues: "This is how she captures animals to mutilate them and then asks for money to cure them. You have to be careful," and concludes: "Now she is desperate to adopt. The complaint is already made."

So far there is no more precision about the reason for the disappearances, beyond rumors, some who believe that it would only be a monetary matter, and others who allege that it would be rituals belonging to a sect.

The user Leonela Barros, on her Facebook account, published a sensitive image, where a kitten is seen being mistreated.
